I like to pick out my shoes

Today it was very important to put these exact shoes on, even before pants. So that's what she wore around the house for a while. Most days when she is getting dressed she goes into her wardrobe and picks out the shoes she is going to wear. I have to put the sandals away, since it is getting too chilly to wear them...

Cheesy Cauliflower Pie

I have been following a blog called Itty Bitty Bistro for a while now. It is two mom's posting recipes that they have tried on their toddlers. Last week I attempted the Cheesy Cauliflower Pie. Here was the result:

Lounging

The plush chairs have been getting a lot of play time lately. Anna puts them up on the futon if we have taken them off. And she always wants us to sit in the other one. And then we switch. And the game repeats...

Making applesauce

What did I do on Saturday night? I made applesauce with the apples from our tree. A first for me. Not very hard. Very tasty.

Should be lots for baking and eating over the winter. I will have to pack it up and freeze it in the morning...

Anna and Serena

We had guests for dinner last night. Serena and Anna met while still in the womb and saw lots of each other in their first year. It was great to see them playing together last night:


Serena was in some of Anushka's clothes, because within 5 minutes of arriving both girls were in the pool...

Happy Birthday Auntie Melanie

We celebrated Melanie's birthday on Sunday. We went for brunch and then a ride on the streetcar. We had lots of fun and were happy to get to spend time together.

The Wagon

Anna's favorite new addition to the house is her wagon. Every morning she goes to the door and says "out," and she climbs in and sits there. The other morning she asked for an apple and then headed out and sat in the wagon to eat it. Too cute.

Camping in Jasper

The last weekend in August we did our usual trek to the Whirlpool campground and spent the weekend camping with old friends and some new ones. It was awesome bringing the kids, they were a huge help. We had beautiful weather (over 30 degrees). Can't wait to go again next year.

A fun week with the cousins

We got to hang out with Kailey and Travis the last week in August. We had tons of fun and Anna missed them when they went off to their first day of school. Boy, was I tired at the end of that week, but I would do it again in a heart beat. Love you guys!

Nice hair

Anniversary Dinner Date

Jeff and I went out for a lovely dinner at Wildflower Grill.

We enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the bottle of red wine. I would definitely recommend it :)
