Farewell Dinner
Chris and crew are off to Southeast Asia for the next month. To read about their adventures, check out their blog.
Guitar Hero, I've missed you...
I haven't had much time to be playing video games, but we got a session in this weekend. We have the wii for a month, so I may be a Mario Party 8 superstar by the time we have to give it back. I got to watch the family play Rockband, but I'm not convinced yet that it is better than Guitar Hero (especially after having to listen to certain people sing). Only practice will tell...
Meeting Matthew
Anna got to hang out with someone her own age today, Matthew. They happily ignored each other, but they had a good time anyways, especially Anna, who got to play with Matthew's toys.

Holiday Monday
We got some family time in yesterday, the last day of Jeff's holiday. We first went for a late breakfast (2pm) at New York Bagel Cafe, which was yummy - I shouldn't have been surprised, but the cheese bagel I had was the best I have ever had. We then took the street car over the Highlevel Bridge to Jasper Avenue and then walked around downtown and the Legislature grounds. It was decently warm out, but you can feel the fall coming in the wind (I needed a jacket in the shade). The streetcar was fun, we could see some of the trees in the River Valley turning yellow already. Then we walked along Whyte after our return trip. Overall, a great way to spend a nice day, and a relaxing way to end the holiday.

Anime!
We got out to one Fringe play - one that we couldn't miss because Emilio was in it - Anime. I really enjoyed it. I don't see a lot of plays, but this made me want to get out and see more. The combination of live drummers, DJ and use of the space made it unique and definitely entertaining. Congrats to Emilio on a job well done, your versatility in your first play was inspiring! And special thanks to Momo and Melanie for hanging with Anna while we went.
