JAIPUR - She said yes! I made poor Jo-Ann get out of bed really early in the morning yesterday to come with me to watch the sun rise at the Taj Mahal. I asked her to marry me, and she said "yes"! We're both really excited and happy. Sending love from India, Jeff.

hey there travelling people. The marriage proposal is wonderful, but simply one moment in your deep and passionate relationship. I'm sure that being surrounded by embodied faith and sacredness simply affirms that which you feel you already touch - love. But here is the kicker (this is for you Jeff) Do you still feel that love/faith is simply a matter of the physical world? Or is it that through love we glimpse a beyond? More and more I am convinced that it simply cannot be the case that our senses perceive all that there is.
I'm madly trying to get NSERC grants written, letters of reference compiled, and experiments underway all this month. I'm pooped already, but loving it.

I learned a new word today that I really liked, Ananke, Greek for Fate.

I've found nothing else in life that gets me more excited than waking up in the morning, and realizing: yes, I've found that one person that I get to be with forever.

But to get to do that when you wake up and overlook the Taj... Well, downtown Edmonton is nice and all, but hoo-ah, nice work!

Enjoy the rest of your trip,

-Brad

I have spent the past day reflecting on the news and your relationship, contemplating the wishes I desire to send.

My joy for the two of you was not ignited yesterday, but began two years ago when you met. Then, I saw that the two of you shared something very special and unique. This relationship was not the flight of fancy, but was something much deeper, and more permanent. I feel very privileged to be a part of your lives and have been able to watch your relationship germinate from a tiny seed and blossom into what it is today. You have beautiful relationship based on honesty, trust, communication, and respect. My wish is that I can continue to support your friendship and this union, and foster its growth. My wish is for your journey to continue with as much joy as you currently have, and then more.

This news coming at the equinox has been a delightful conclusion to the transitional summer many of us have experienced. It warms my heart that you have caught and nurtured the elusive creature known as love.

Much love, moose
